Being Grandparents –
with Heart & Wisdom

You are not the legal guardians – but you are the heart of the family. Learn how to accompany your grandchildren in a way that shapes their entire lives.

Your Special Role

Grandparents are not second parents – they are something unique

Grandparents have a gift that parents often don"t have: Time, Patience, and Life Experience. They can tell stories that parents can"t. They can listen without immediately reacting. They can love without raising.

Our courses help you consciously live this unique role – with humanistic values that center dignity, respect, and love.

Practical Advice

Valuable Tips for Grandparents

Presence Instead of Advice

Children don"t need perfect grandparents – they need present ones. Put away your phone, look them in the eyes, and truly listen. This gift is priceless.

Questions Instead of Answers

Instead of immediately offering solutions, ask: "How was that for you?" or "What do you think about it?" This makes children feel taken seriously and helps them develop their own thinking.

Share Stories & Memories

Tell stories from your own childhood – about mistakes, adventures, and learning moments. This connects generations and shows children: Adults were once small too.

Strengthen Parents, Don"t Undermine Them

The most effective support for your grandchildren is to strengthen their parents. Avoid criticizing parenting decisions in front of the children – this creates security.

Create Rituals

Whether it"s weekly baking, a shared game, or a walk: rituals give children security and anticipation. They become precious memories for a lifetime.

Communicate Boundaries Lovingly

Grandparents are also allowed to have boundaries. "No TV during meals at my place" – clear, calm, and without guilt. Children respect honest boundaries.
